are we better to get phone, broadband and tv seperate or the same company, im with virgin at the moment and paying 70.90 a month for my package, any thoughts

What do you get for that price? We pay £40 a month for phone and line rental (don't seem to pay for many calls), internet access and BT vision. Don't have any sports channels as I refuse to pay to watch my sport on the box.

Ive just upgraded to 60mb broadband and i was wondering if anyone knew a good (free) speed test site that will tell me in simple xmb.

When I ran it yesterday I clicked the start now and it started to download its software. When I cancelled and started again it just ran the test. The man at BT said it shouldnt be downloading anything but it was.

Here is my tip to save money with Sky , phone Sky up , tell them you have had Virgin on the phone canvassing about cheaper packages , and you thinking of switching ,then ask them if they can reduce your monthly rates to stop you from changing , i did this recently and they reduce my Sky payments by £20.00p a month for 12 months , try it you have nowt to lose .

I find it quite funny that my post has been removed as breaking the aup when it helps people save money, especially on the sports channels and even as I type is an advert on the right is for sky. But I guess that's the point, am I possibly taking away a couple of affiliate sales? Anyway I guess people will have to PM me for the cryptic Sky Staff Introduce a Friend offer for half price Sky for a year.

I get £20 off my Sky bill every month, simply by placing a £10 bet on 20 days throughout the month.
Now before anyone says" hang on that`s £200 in bets to save £20".....I place a £10 bet usually in running , for instance a football team who might be winning 3-0 with 20 mins to go at odds of 1/1000. I get my £10 back and a £1 stamp off my sky bill.
