| So it would seem to becoming a shut up shop then, who realically can you see being thrown out in favour of a championship club fro 2015.

Well, I'm pleased for Bradford, and their fans, but once again we (the Sport) seem to be being 'consistent in our inconsistency'. Given this precedent, all other cash-strapped clubs should feel a lot more comfortable, including all those in the Championship, especially us! After all, we are probably better followed away from home, than many in our league, and I'm sure our fellow Championship clubs would vote against our relegation, should that situation arise.
Also, I'm slightly surprised to see how many of their key players are contracted for 2013 - presumably on the same deal as this season. Wasn't it their £200k per month wage bill that was instrumental in their problem?
Still, like I say, I'm pleased for the fans especially, at the Bulls.

Well, they say that this decision is down to the club's proud history and their support base. (especially those who travel to away games) Now I can think of one or two who aren't well supported, at home, never mind away, and who haven't got tradition on their side.
Of course, they may be 'protected' for other reasons!

| There should still be hope that Bradford will be liquidated and that this season's Championship Grand Final winners will be promoted to SL (if they really do want a 14 team Super League)
The article says that the core of their squad, players such as Luke Gale, Brett Kearney, Heath L’Estrange, John Bateman, Craig Kopczak and Jamie Langley, are signed up for 2013.
If that's the case, and the Administrator has to do what raises most cash for the Bulls' creditors:
1. Sell that lot - to other Super League clubs, NRL clubs or RU then liquidate the Bulls
2. Only if a new financial backer offers to put more cash into the Bulls for the creditors than 1. above would raise should the Administrator accept such an offer.
I've said it before; what RL in this country needs:-
1. Somehow require at least 13 of the 17 players named for each match to be EU born or raised players
2. Automatic promotion and relegation between the leagues (even if only some form of one-up, one-down)
3. Limit payments to players in a year to no more than 50% of the club's annual income in the most recent audited accounts.
Leave that in place for 10 years and we'll be booming again.

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| SL clubs are hardly going to set a precedent of relegating a club in financial trouble are they. Have you seen the state of some of their accounts! Our friends up the road had liabilities of over 5 million quid at the end of 2010.

| The point is that it is the Adminstrator, by law, who has to decide what to do in the best interests of the creditors - not the RFL or SLE. If the best deal the Administrator can get is to sell the players and then liquidate the Club, that's his decision alone.

| I pointed that out on the bradford board but was told that it didn't apply or something along those lines. That is why i think the administrator appointed by Caisley had an ulterior motive early on in this. Anyone seen anything of Mr Caisley since June 26th when they went into admin.

Whoever told you that is wrong. The law is very clear on the matter.
However, it's rare for a business to be wound up if there is any chance of it continuing to run as a going concern with new owners. The RFL have to approve the new owners as well as the administrator, and they have the ability to do that as the governing body. The administrators could sell to an unapproved bidder, but it wouldn't be a realistic move for them to make.
