| It's a shame but it doesn't look good for them now. The RFL have rejected the demands made by the Asian consortium before they would take Bradford on. Very, very sad.

| That would be nothing more than a wish list, if they could have got them then they'd have been laughing at the sport.
They'll now put in another tender looking for the same, but without either the ground ownership or guaranteed SL membership. That'll get rejected too, and then we'll see if Bradford are stuffed or not.

| Noticed the report stated they were looking at another bid which has not been mentioned before. Chris Caisley is gonna crop up somewhere seeing as he's been struck dumb for the last few weeks. Looks like no one wants to take on the creditors liabilities though.

| I suppose there are interested parties who, from a business point of view, can see the benefit of the Bulls going bust! They could then form "Bradford Phoenix", debt free, and with a potentially huge fan base - and enter into talks about the future of Odsal, with both the land owners and the lease holders.
A period outside SL would allow the club to re-build from the bottom up, and they aren't gonna drop to sub 1500 crowds overnight, so have the opportunity for inward investment, even within the restrictions of a non SDL salary cap.
Even if the structure of the leagues stays as it is, and they decide to stay with licencing, etc - a championship club with, potentially, a five figure fan-base would prove difficult to ignore!!
I reckon it's a lot easier to start from scratch if you're Bradford, than it has been for the likes of Sheffield/Gateshead/Crusaders!!

| That's actually a very good point. It may even have the effect of dragging our level of sport up.

| Looks like the deadline for liquidation has been extended till August 31st and both ABC bids have now been rejected. This means the RFL are paying the players again.
There won't be a SL of 13 either so that either means they are keeping Bradford in or replacing them next season. Can't see how they can keep Bradford in without a buyer. IMO it is becoming a joke and an embarrassment. What is the problem with liquidating and starting again, why keep a club going artificially. If they expunge Bradfords results AND the results from the Magic Weekend then the resulting table is still realistic and fair.

| There are now two groups wanting to acquire Bradford. Only two.
Both are conditional on Bradford retaining their Superleague place. Well under licenscing criteria that is not possible so what can the RFL do ?
Well' if I had to make the decision I would allow them to stay in the top flight but after this season is over the licenscing farce would be dustbinned then next season might see the reintroduction of promotion and relegation.
What is the alternative ?

| No business plan, no names, no proof of funding source. What sort of consortium is that?

The sort of consortium that Leigh RLFC seem to attract or one lead by Maurice.

Well they sure did. Our sport is now a laughing stock.
At least the introduction of franchising/licenscing has now shown everyone what an absolutely crazy experiment it was.
I am sure there will still be those who think it was a good idea.
Bet Richard Lewis is proud of himself.
