| Well done Paul Rowley! Thats exactly the kind of team I wanted to see today. Pity I'm not going to actually see it 'cause im at work  My grandad is taping it though on Premier Sports so I'll watch it in a day or two

Anybody know what the crack is with Andy Thornley? Seemed to remember he is on trial and training with us. Is he not actually available for selection at all? I don't suppose he is, otherwise today would have been an obvious opportunity to give him a run out.

Greg Burke is the other one on DC from Wigan, not sure how long that's planned for though.
Henderson had a decent enough game in my eyes. Should provide a good option.

Rowe and Singleton looked like they'd certainly be able to do a job if required, but I think we knew that from pre-season anyway. |

As well as the two players picked out by 'Leyther Matt' , We also had a very young 16 year old stand off out there today who didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon either.
Lee Gittens also showed plenty of promise at centre.

Josh had a good game all things considered but I think it's a while before he's likely to be knocking on the first team door on a regular basis. He's got bags and bags of potential though. A little known fact is that, other than being a member of the Salmon Army, he also used to run rings round the Leythers MB team as an 8 year old |
