If Ryans on a season long loan and they recall him, does that mean he can't come back like a DR player would be able to?

A new loan agreement would have to be negotiated, they are completely different than a DR agreement.

If Ryan does play for Cas on sunday at least it's Hunslet we're playing against Bob & Nico will do a good job at 7 & 9

So its not a season long loan then,more like " you can have him,build his confidence,improve his profile then we will have him back when we get some injuries type of loan".
DRs and loans wind me up its all one way traffic,I honestly would stop them all or demand that a loan is a loan for the agreed period,our league is full of SL DRs and loan players who would be frustrated as anything playing in front of a 100 or so people in the reserves every week,SL clubs are not doing us any favours its them who benefit more than teams in our Division.

| My view is we are where we are.
I am sure we will have Ryan (Kes) for the rest of the season notwithstanding this Sunday and I would also like Spencer back this weekend.
Had we more regular fans we would have a bigger squad so atm we have to put up with it.
Franchising is surely in its' death throes.
Wish we had the brass to have the two I have mentioned and Laythwaite on full time contracts.
Oh and if Walt or Glow or any other Leyther wins the Euro lottery I am sure in addition to us buying the LSV we would also have Chris back next season.
Even without the Euro millions all we need is £10k each from 2000 Leythers.  |

We'll get him back next week, when Cas's 'foreign' half backs have served their suspensions. Meanwhile, I hope he doesn't end up as 18th/19th man and not get a game anywhere - at his age, I suspect he would be mighty frustrated, training all week and ending up watching!

So the loan is just match by match with the home club having a call on when he goes back ?
So in RL terms he's on a week by week loan that last for a year ?
Just out of interest does this agreement work in reverse - could Leigh sign 6 players on a weeks loan from SL or is the loop hole covered ?

Well if I recall correctly a club can have only 4 players on DC/loan at any one time.
In the case of Ryan' had Rangi Chase not been under suspension maybe we would not be too bothered.
