I'd have said it was a given, might re build some bridges with the former players too.

I'd have a few of them in the dressing room pre match giving a bit of a talk to our current players.

The olive branch was extended and thrown back in their face, as for the dressing room, there is no way any modern coach would allow any outside interference from anyone in a drfessing room, plus Leythdave and his mates wouldn't allow them anywhere near

A 'talk' may be allowed at say a training seeeion but on the day don't think so as the players prepare themselves mentally in their own way.

Every coach will do their prep their own way. Personally I agree with Fred's version. The lads need to be totally focused on what the coaches have been preparing them for. I've got the early off now on Friday and can't bloody wait.
