does anyone remember,I think it was early 1990s the name of the TV Channel that showed rugby league from our division - I remember a game against Halifax which kicked off at 1pm at HP

We were the leigh Bears that season, we lost the halifax at Home game Big Brendan Hill scored a couple that day, we also played huddersfield away and Rochdale away midweek that season on TV for those who can remember it was another season that the fell out of the club and we played with 7 recognised scrum halves in the team for a few games ha

They did a couple of test games,were johnathan davies was a presenter,remember them taking up all the seating in the supprters club stand,sure one was against widnes and they had a mini train track running the lenght of the pitch were a camera flew up and down

I remember that Fax game well , Woody scored a try , the ref brought him back and gave Leigh aPenalty for Fax obstruction , Woody went on in that game to break Jimmy Ledgards club record , and Tony Iro made his Leigh debut in the game , it was the last time Frank B bought a round in also . |

Still reckon one game was v widnes,remember one of there massive giants from tonga or the south sea islands picking up a leigh player slaming him to the floor and then belly flopping on him,the crowd went wild it was pure asaualt was it not wayne standish or the other tiny winger we use to have?
