Been down to Manchester Rd today with son training, and most of Leigh team there along with Richie Blackmore and Matt Adamson, I have to give Matt a massive pat on the back, this bloke lives and breathes rugby league and his knowledge is second to none, his enthusiasm and eagerness for the game is fantastic, after spending a while in the clubhouse he went outside and spent 45 minutes with the under 15s coaches and players giving them tips and ideas, which gave the lads a big boost, he is also turning up for the game tommorrow thats dedication, he may be trying to impress but fair play to him, he wants so much to get involve with both Leigh clubs and wants Leigh lads playing for the Centurions.
Cant really say alot about Richie has he didnt stay long.

Don't know about perfect but if he wants to get involved with the kids then he will do for me

I'd rather he concentrate on Leigh Centurions first team personally. Too many distractions and all that.

Think that's a given but he sees leigh future in the kids

Well I have never met him but if he is over here on holiday and he takes time out to watch and advise the younger players in our town that says a good deal about him.

Leigh produces more quality players than most and even the Gobblers of Pies must be envious of that in my view.

I'm probably guilty of generalising, but it seems to me that a lot of Aussie coaches see that as their responsibility.

The future of any successful club is in its youth and ties with the amateur scene........ Saints and Wigan do this to great effect and that's why the youth setup develops so many players that progress through to the 1st team.

That's the way we have to be if we eventually want to get a franchise and move up to the promise land of SL.
