As mentioned when the TV deal was first discussed, rlthisrl seems to be the 'kickback' that clubs would be getting in return for going on to a minority channel. Got to say that it looks a pretty poor deal from the clubs point of view as I can't see a) many people committing to the amount in full and b) wanting to pay for the full 12 months rather than subscribing February-October (ie actually during the season).

I just hope that a few pubs in Leigh start to subscribe or it's going to be a nightmare to see any of the games and therefore affect our already limited advertising opportunities, especially with the lack of coverage via Virgin Media.

I'm assuming that you may be able to get it via the internet in the same way that you can get some football games etc - not the same quality but better than nowt and it won't cost you anything.

I only bother with the bog standard freeview box at the moment so sussing out how much this would all cost from nothing.

for me to subscribe from feb to oct, at a cost of 7.99 which is the price for next year, would cost me 63.92, i do not want to subscribe to it out of season. have to say have had premier sport at home for last 2 years, and imo its been worth every penny, the nrl has been fantastic, it really has.

Have they announced what days games will be aired yet? I'd like to think they'll dump the ridiculous Thursday night game which benefitted nobody but Sky.

I didn't watch the games on Sky unless it was a Leigh away game anyway so doubt I'll subscribe.

I'm sure it was in the original press release games would still be broadcast in the "Popular Thursday night slot"
