He was on Leigh s book cant understand why,they didnt keep him, their loss though.
Is he not playing because of playing for Lancashire ?

I'd rather young players stay at their amature clubs rather than sign pro at a young age, they always seem to go down hill once they sign. Playing first team for a couple of year at say miners or east is better experience than playing at u'18s at Leigh for example.

Leigh Miners certainly didnt know what they had, he couldnt get regular game time with their 18s, goes to Leigh East, makes immediate impact with east 18s, plays for his country and secures a regular 1st team spot.

Just shows what giving youngsters a chance in the first team does to them. Quite a few u'18s played in the first team at miners this year.

Think next season Leigh will be looking to sign more youngsters one, this year, with no reserve team, theres no where for the up and coming players to play, so itll be a small squad and I suppose we will bring players form East and Miners if injuries occur, Nicky has always wanted to play for hi home town team, hope he gets the chance, same as my daft lad should have done.
