Although you see this season as a total failure for the leigh club,most of us dont, so in our eyes who ever comes in has a hard act to follow. |

Only because they wont have the resources Millward had.
Question-How many leigh coaches have succeeded at this level.
Answer-Far more than have failed (again with less resource than Millward).
This season promised lots but in the end delivered nothing and were going bust on the back of it.

Hes got the pedigree and at 31 such a tender age has a rare formula having served a decent coaching apprenticship and also having played at the highest level and got the relevant level 3 under his belt too.

Tony Benson won a trains cup and finished top four with a couple of 50+ thrashings of Widnes and DA won the lot not to mention Terzis who also bettered this season.
This season will be remembered by everyone who was in that ground or at Fev last week as a failure end of story. |

Forgive me but i grew up watchong leigh sides win lancashire cups and lge championships going to places like central park, headingley and knowsley road and playing RL with the best of them.
Forgive me for not getting a semi on every time we get to the final of comp designed to give the also ran sides outside of SL with no chance of ever getting there a day in the sun and bit of pointless silverware. |
