Quote: jeffnutkin "All Richard Lewis and Nigel Wood banged on about re this next set of licenses is that we now have more A grade super league licensees than we did last time.
Let's hypothesise that this trend continues, and next time round we have 14 A Grade licensees, will RFL finally admit that Super League is a closed shop?
After all, how can a Championship Club put together an A Grade License application? And even if one managed to do so, how could the RFL boot out one A Grade Licensee for another?'"
But the point is it`s not like for like anyway , how on earth do they expect a Championship club to compete with a Super League one ? They have wasted millions on expansionism most that has not worked Gateshead, Sheffield, Paris, Crusaders , Tolouse and they have had 30yrs in London. Money wasted while the lower leagues have been deprived .I t will be a closed shop now unless someone goes bust and bails out and someone else will be asked to take their place.
