Why not use that money to develop young english players? seeing as you can't be relegated for 3 years????
Thought that was what the franchise was all about? not the fund oap assies league?

Hopefully this will be the case mate. Have a few good players in the ranks (Flynn, Craven etc)and these will only benefit from super leage rugby and training with top class players on a regular basis. From what SOC has been saying so far he does seem very eager to develop the current crop of youngsters we have.
I think its inevitable that we will sign a coupld of Aussies this summer, hopefully ones that can stay with us for years to come and not just here for the final year or so of their career. |

I can't see any top line Aussies coming over at the moment the rate of exchange of the pound over the Aus Dollar is too low to attract them, a couple of years ago when it was $2.5 A for £1 it meant they got a great payment but as it's only runnimng at about $1.5 A per £1 it's not attractive enough. I can see it going back to either youngsters or 'old timers out for a final big pay cheque' who can't get a contract in Aus.
