I see Shaun "The Slug" McRae was looking for excuses for them capitulating in the 2nd half. At the end of the day it was early days for both sides and although they didn't have their "full" team out it's still a good victory.

Doubt the report was from a Leyther or he would have included a quote or two from Leigh's coach rather than Macrae who appears to have said eight of Mondays players would be in his starting seventeen.
I think a full strength Salford side would have won comfortably incidentally but everyone knows the gap between Non Relegation League and the Championship is a gap rarely breached.
