Has anybody heard of any new possible signings?Just want some good news for next season.

Mark Smith and Lee Doran from Widnes be good news.

We play 'friendlies' week in, week out, except for the Challenge Cup.
IF THE RFL DON'T WANT A CLUB IN SOOPER DOOPER LEAGUE, THEY WON'T GET IN.

So should we just fold? Cease to exist any longer? I don think so!! Leigh centurions rlfc are a part of my life!! As it says on our crest we move forward/progress steadily! Improve!! Don't give up hope just keep going wit yed down cos the rfl change their criteria all the time! All we can do is improve as a team and a club and see where it takes us! Hopefully better players will equal more fans, more boxes ticked etc etc etc!

our pack is strong enough......its backs with lots of pace we need - we were caught out too much last season due to no speed out wide.

Thought Doran was much improved last season from when he was at Leigh and one of the Mutants better players.

He`s still a penalty machine though.

NO not pack in, but no point in 'bustin' a gut/going in debt' when at the end of the day, even if we did average 2500 for friendlies, and ticked a box 'at least once' there are only 2, maybe 3 clubs the RFL would be ok to 'get rid of' from SL. Imagine the next 15 years after 2012 after 'allowing in Widnes', can you really see them 'kicking out' 5 Super League clubs, and 'allowing in' 5 championship clubs - NO WAY.
Now, the odds on a current club (average crowd 2500) ain't easy to achieve, SO maybe a new club with 'no' criteria to meet, apart from financial will get the nod. I will always buy a season ticket for Leigh, but failed to get excited by it all anymore. SUPER LEAGUE is not the 'be all & end all' but when some clubs have NO chance of being 'allowed in', then what is the point. Or maybe you can be a Barrow, you do not need SL, but you can be challenging for honours each season, AND giving your fans something to cheer about.

Is their any names being branded about your lot out of interest? Or is it more of a retaining job + a few signings?

You could do a lot worse that someone like Andy Ballard... speed to burn and a great goal kicker aswell, two things needed? Saw Jonny Cambell linked who would be great too (if other issued go a certain way, Ballard meant to be escaping jail).

We need a hard nasty barsteward in the front row eg Tonks, Dickens mould, who gets through work.
Strike back rowers and pace out wide.
Dont need Smith as in Duffy, Nicholson and Paul we have covered 9. We do need a ben black figure though.

Agree with that. Would hate to see us spunking money on the likes of Smith and Doran when we have existing options. Any more news on this Branighan rumour as he'd be ideal?

Think we will see Long at 7 next season.

He is coming to Widnes. Doran and Smith have played very well this year and i am surprised we have let them go to be honest.
