Thought Armitstead and Alstead were both excellent, as was Duffy. Think Unit for me though, god we've missed that lad.

Higson had his best game for ages.

Higson is without doubt our classiest and quickest back. He has been unlucky with injuries since last season but today I thought he was back to almost his best.

Leulai had a magnificent game as did debut boy Nicholson' another lad' who has a touch of class about him.

Emmitt I always like and I will not mention Chris Hill who is always good even when he has an average game.

Higson is still not a winger IMHO, but the lad can only play where he's told to (and he's doing a good job of it, to be fair). Thought Maden and Alstead worked well together by the way.

Well for me I would always play Higson centre but if Basil wants him on the wing I am hardly likely to object.

A few more games without an injury and who knows ? He makes a lot of ground just driving the ball in even against bigger players.

AJ had his best game of the season to date IMO. Did what was asked of him in defence and attack. Drove the ball back strong from the 20 metre area. If he's the chosen one by Basil for the wing spot I ain't gonna argue. We all know he has a great turn of pace.

Couldn't pick out any one player for MOM today. Was a real team effort but thought a few players went really well.

Higson - best game this season
Leuluai - best game this season
Emmitt - brilliant as per usual

Let's not forget Mick Nanyn scoring points for fun. Think he had another 100% kicking game today That's a big plus for any side!

If we do make it to the final and play widnes then that could be a big difference as they have been poor in the goal kicking department recently. Think it was 1 out of 6 attempts on Thursday.

Theres only oooooooooone Mick Nanyn....

TBH I was expecting a nail-biting last quarter of the game. Proved me wrong again. Well done to the 17 that showed up with determination and pride in the Leigh Centurions shirts today. Worthy winners!

To be honest there were a lot of contenders today. Nanyn was clinical near the line and with the boot however he made a couple of poor decisions in defence and also in attack that forced him into touch a couple of times.

Higson was solid, not a winger but did his job, surprised to see Maden in the centres and him on the wing. Nicholson had a very impressive debut and I thought that his performance had an impact on McConnell's second half stint which was also impressive and took us up a notch.

Our forwards were immense though, the amount of work that the quartet of Goulden, Taylor and Armitstead got through was incredible but Leuluai was my man of the match. Never took a backwards step and ran the ball in strongly all game and put some great hits in when defending. The all round team performance was good and even with injuries i'd feel confident taking on teams with the kind of side we had out today.

Duffs and Jock pushed us around the field in equal measures backed up abley by Riddy and Nicho, but Armys second spell was immense.
