Hi guys I need some help on wot I should put on my bucket for collecting sponsors please? I'll print it off on my PC & I know the club logo is an obvious one that will go on but has anyone got any catchy idea's to go on it & please give a full desciption on the bucket if possible? Thanks

Telling folk what you're collecting for might be a good place to start.

You see buckets all the time for things that aren't for charity ('Fax a few years ago for example). I'd much rather we did 'sponsorship' rather than just 'asking' people for money.

While I see your point , to me the request to contribute to ' Save ' a club is ever so different to the request to ' buy a new aussie half back to tick a box ' idea

I know exactly what you mean Ste. I could ask work colleagues etc if it was for a charity but no way would I embarrass myself asking them to sponsor me for this as none have any interest in Leigh. I am relying on family, friends and other Leigh fans to sponsor me. Maybe a sponsorship linked to a couple of prizes would at least give them a reason to sponsor us.

Does it really matter how you word it, we need the money. If you feel uncomfortable asking just anyboby for money just stick to your family, if like me you can ask anyboby then do it.

Family, friends and workmates should do the trick.

Buckets should be for the games home and away, for fans who aint doing it but would like to contribute.

i find any walking uncomfortable

is it really worth taking a bucket though? once your past lowton whos going to want to donate to our team?

I'm doing the walk and I also feel uncomfortable asking people from outside of Leigh so shall be sticking to family & friends!

Taking a bucket is going a bit far though, were leaving leigh early on a Sunday morning from the Sports Village can't see anyone much past that point willing to throw in even if they were up and about
