For Sunday’s cup tie with Wath Brow, we are producing an abbreviated magazine. As we anticipate a smaller ‘gate’ than usual, with lower sales, we have opted for the cost savings associated with a smaller programme. Even so, at 32 pages, I believe the programme will still be larger than we have previously produced, at this stage of the competition.

I hope that the programme will be on sale this week, at Leigh East ARLFC, prior to our game.

It is slightly difficult to predict what caption goes on the photo, from those who send it in to the publisher! However, you will be pleased to know that I did spot and correct the other 4,873 proof errors!

Just one other point, my friend. I've never professed to being 'professional'. I'm just an honest amateur, doing my best for F*** all reward!

Don't worry Alan, yours and your teams efforts are greatly appreciated by the majority of fans who buy ' The Centurion'. We are very lucky, firstly to have a programme of our own and secondly one of such quality. A programme that doesn't have an occasional error is a collectors edition indeed.
