I asked the hubby last night was he the centre who played for us the season before SL and he was contracted for SL but had a injury and never actually played, he said I was thinking of the wrong player, was I right or NOt? Remember Chris being a real good player but had a bad spell with injuries.

Good player was Percy before he got injured. Think he retired initially and then tried to make a come back the following season with another club (was it Oldham or somebody?).

Your spot on Lynda. He suffered a very badly broken leg playing for Leigh at Batley in 2004. He had a SL contract for 2005 and played a few games for the reserves but then IIRC suffered a further set back which ruled him out for the season.

Wow thats awful news. He was a real try scorer was Chris and was so unlucky at Leigh.
I know I speak for every Leigh spectator in wishing him good luck with his fight. Is there any chance the club can arrange a collection or something for the Wigan game, this would be a great way to get him some much needed funds during this time.
I am able to contact with one of the directors so I'll ask him what he thinks and report back.
