Westleigh high and others have posted 8 pages of homework on their website, now if thats not a p1sstake nothing is.

Point taken. I do think however if kids do have internet access it will be better for them to take it on board and do it rather than ignore their schoolwork.

Makes sense and it is better than nothing although I realise if some kids do not have computer access they will be disadvantaged.

From a personal point of view I think the teacher who has gone to the trouble to post the homework should be applauded.

There's a good chance the homework was posted from the teacher's house.

Nevertheless, I think it's a good idea - why shouldn't the kids do some work while their schools are shut?

Not all will, but then those that do should benefit and those that don't, won't.

It is unfortunate for those that don't have internet access but that is a very small percentage of school kids these days.

Its not the kids fault theres no school and to give them 8 pages on a THurs is a bit much.
Id have said it like for those of you who are bored not being in school, Ive put up some work pages and leave it to the kids whether they do it or not.

Trouble is most kids won,t unless their parents nag them.

My kids used to get sick of me telling them how important education was.

Strange how they try to drum it into their own kids now.

FUN??? little gits making bl00dy slides on the footpath ive fallen on my ar5e so many times taking the dog out ive got a skate sewn on my pants backside, bit of bad weather and they shut the schools, can't remember them doing that when i was a kid ever, and that were when winters were winters , I remember when.....

I agree with Fred kids get plenty of free time and making our streets even slippier in this bad weather won,t make them any smarter.

In 1963 I never missed a day at school,apart from holidays and weekends, and this current cold spell does not come close.
