Can't see the point of this except to usher in a feeder system. Why limit the growth potential of these clubs? The gap between SL and the Championship will grow ever wider.
On another topic..the other rumour is that the two Championship divisions will merge into 1 - personally I would think that was a good idea (apart from saving us from relegation!) - more home games would surely be a good thing - and realistically all but the bottom 4 or 5 clubs would be relatively competetive - based on how the 2 divisions are currently looking.
Even Skolars game Oldham a game last week. It would also address the imbalance of Lancs v Yorks v Cumbria splits that we could end up with..

Merging the two championship divisions has been on the cards for a while. Seeing as the RFL don't like clubs gambling on overspending to get promoted or avoid relegation it does actually make sense and would also allow more local derbies which increase attendances. Just need to sort a fixture format.

Don't go along with this at all. Rochdale, Oldham and Swinton don't bring any more than Batley, Sheffield or Donny would. At least with two divisions there's summat to play for in terms of promotion & relegation. The old NFP days had bugger all intensity as you'd only have a 'tough' game every 2-3 weeks, rather than every game being against a quality side, as it is at the moment. |

| I know of another local buisnessman,who wants to get rid of some spare cash,he does not want to get involved on the board,just wants to see his money spent wisely! and believe me he has probrably got more money than the latest bunch of shining knight's in armour that have helped sign Mr Paul!He will not do it if Leigh go down,i spoke to him last week and he was up for it,but if his race horses take off,he will no doubt go out and buy others!.Lets hope there crap and he will spend his money more wisely! I might even go to my first match of the season at the LSV this weekend!Chilli festival in Cumbria at Levens Hall takes priority nowadays unfortunately!  |

I really hope this doesn't come off .
Would be the first signs of a feeder league being formed IMO.
Then again I can fully understand why they don't want what we've had this year - a wide open league with no-one guarenteed a victory no matter who the opposition is, what governing body would want a league like that  |
