| Didn't even notice that they were on sale. Not a patch on the club's programme, I'm sure!

icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?:icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg |

| Are they the Championship programme. If so I`ll be showing loyalty to our very own publication.

| I've got one, but I've got to admit that I've not even looked in it yet - and I've left it in the back of my car.
There was tons of them in the boxes but no one seemed interested in them - they were all still there after the game!
I'll have a look through tomorrow when I get my car back.

| I'm not sure I heard right (all the programmes are 'free' in the boxes) but I think I heard someone say that all the clubs are 'obliged' to buy a certain amount of these programmes at £1 each, which are to be sold at £2.

That's correct.

| how strange, even leigh are obliged to buy them, eventhough we are producing our own programme, surely we will lose money on this, as most people i would assume would probably stay loyal and buy the club programme.

| Part of the conditions for Championship clubs getting the extra 100k each from the RFL was having the "Game On" magazine (so clubs aren't really losing out are they). I got one today as I took in the Hunslet Fax game and I have to say I think it's a pretty good read and will only get better. Leigh were the club featured in "the spread" I think so I'm surprised the club didn't try to push it more.
Personally I think my club have come up with a very acceptable compromise rlhttps://www.roughyeds.co.uk/110209.htmrlrl]

| I've finally managed to look through the magazine and it's quite good with some interesting articles and news about all the teams, new players etc. The problem is that I buy both rugby papers at a cost of £2.60 and get all this information, and more, which is much more up to date - so I personally wouldn't buy this programme.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

I used to get both RL papers, plus the monthly magazine, but soon found I was just re-reading old news that I had read on RLFans or other Internet sources.
I never much liked our matchday programmes (too many adverts!) and don't much fancy the idead of an NL-wide dictated one either.
What I suppose you need to consider is where can you help the club make most money - £2 for the Game On mag, where Leigh make £1 or £2.50 for the club programme (anyone know what kind of profit the club makes on them? Would hope it was more than £1?)

We as a Club knew that the RFL were introducing this magazine, but felt our supporters would like to hear about our Club, at our stadium, in our programme. The Championship teams apparently voted in favour of this RFL publication - although I would suggest the way the RFL went about the voting process, relied heavily on communications within each club, being less than perfect!!
I'm not against the RFL publication - any publicity for the Championship must be good - but my fear always was, that the magazine would be re-hashing news that had already appeared in the 'trade' press. (especially as it is published, by the publishers of one of those weekly RL papers)
So, yes, we will lose money on the RL publication, but hopefully more will be tempted to buy the 'Centurion'
