It all comes down too how much do we want too get promoted mr hock on a pay as you play will get us into superleague he is still in the top 3 2nd rowers in the country!! He will add too the aggression and people won't want too take on our pack!! It is a big risk but if he doesn't play he doesn't get paid! We have had people like the vibes Richard Moore and tummy street. A certain mr Barlow is a angry chap we always look on the dark side at Leigh!!

I've only just started watching Leigh again this season and still don't even know all their players, but what I can see is the fantastic team spirit in the camp - and that goes along way in any team sport.

So, would this Hock fella disrupt that? Because, if so, that would be one heck of a gamble.

Half of SL want him though.... so he must do something right



as for age dont worry about that, with the coaching and conditioning at our club he can play at the very top level of our sport for another 4 years...

Starbug here , the problem with Hock is you just know that come the big ' decider ' with 3 minutes left and a 4 point lead he will Give away a stupid penalty and cost you the game and the rewards of it , he obviously cannot help himself

From what I have now read, and from what I know of the current Leigh set-up, the Centurions do not need Hock. Leigh already have a couple of hot-headed young men in their ranks that could cost us valuable points during the season. We do not need to add to that, especially in a key season.

The current Leigh pack is more than good enough for this level of rugby and has good youngsters in reserve too that can come in as back-up.

If promoted, surely Leigh wouldn't be looking at the likes of Hock anyway?

Like someone has said, Hock is no spring chicken, is a liability and would be a gamble. I don't beLeighve (lol) Leigh need to take such a gamble.

Surely the OWNER of the club and not Mr Norris the Chairman would make a decision on the signing so to say the Mr Norris wouldnt Jeapordise the club is fair enough but would Mr Beaumont?

On that basis then if you cannot pay your full timers a decent wage, how could you afford Hock?

I was at that game also. I was talking to possibly the same person I think before Salfordlad, I can verify that he told me the same thing as he told Salfordlad.....and yes it was his words.....not mine also

If they were that poorly paid, then why sign it? There are other RL clubs they can play for, i assume they were happy to sign it, and derek did not hold a gun to players head. Also presume there may be a sl clause, were if we attain sl then there wages go up significantly.

So it looks increasingly likely that Hock will soon be a Leigh player. If this is the case then I hope he realises what a lucky lad he is and that this will probably be his very last chance to finish off his career in style. Despite my personal feelings about him as a professional RL player, if he joins our club then as far as I'm concerned he starts with a clean sheet and I'm sure all Leythers will get behind him and welcome him to to Leigh Centurions with open arms.

Young players going FT is about their future, young squad players will back themselves to be in a better position after FT to cement a career in RL, if that doesnt work out they are young enough to play PT and work
