Neil has done remarkably well, given the internal turmoil and the fact that almost half the squad - and virtually the entire back division - have been missing, for one reason or another. Our play has been understandably less than free-flowing, yet we are still the top scorers in the Championship.

Should be interesting when we have more bodies to select from.

I would love to say that it was a classic, but it just wasn't.

6 - 0 at half time & we just wasn't at the races at all.

I thought we could have taken the upper hand in the 1st half if ....
A) Silverwood had penalised 3 or 4 Fax high shots & some lying on/interference at PTB.
B) we were more coherent in attack.

Still, to play so poorly & come away with a win is satisfying, especially when you factor in Bradfords draw away at Batley.

Our forwards won us the game yet again & I was really pleased with the performance of Ben Reynolds who I had been calling for his return from the start of the season.

FFMM went well & he seems to respond when the fans sing his name with a bit of extra power.

Halifax played well I thought & knew how far they could push Silverwood, the comedy throwing himself to the floor of one of their players in the 2nd half was straight out of la liga though.

London top, Batley, Dewsbury, Leigh & Fax vying for top 4, be interesting to see the order come the 8's.

Oh, I finally found out that I have met Salford Lad/Frank 1 several times but didn't know it.

Well done today lads, even though you weren't firing on all cylinders.
Fairly even until the last 20 when you finished the stronger and we couldn't hold out.

As I posted on the Fax board on another point.

I was sat about 5 rows behind DB and to his credit when the Fax team was announced as coming on the pitch both at the start of the game and the second half he put his hands together and gave a good long round of applause before standing to clap Leigh on, so fair play to the guy.

Coach walks out the week before the season, we suffer a massive injury crisis with almost all of our backs injured at one point or another and our star player is a hooker playing with an injury, we've had to play 5 of the top 6 teams in our first 6 games; we've lost 1, drawn 1 and won 4! An absolutely fantastic start! I can't wait to see this team when everyone is fit, when the team is settled, when Jukes has got his eye in and if we can play for a full 80 min we'll be incredible.

Hear hear! Having seven different half back partnerships in those six games, can't have helped us to settle. Sooner or later we will have to see a repeat half back combination! (although we could try Charnock and Reynolds on Saturday, and make it eight!!

Not gelled for me,Ben looked a little lost,the forwards were moving right, but the ball was doing nothing.

I'll reserve judgement on NJ until we are in a position of choice rather than forced positions.Must be a nightmare at the minute not knowing who's playing who isn't.

Very difficult to go with a game plan that must be changing daily. Credit were it is due NJ is dealing with it very well.

The table could look markedly different after the next 3 or 4 weeks looking at the fixtures coming up.

It would look a bit different for us now, if Bradford and Featherstone had played the games they currently have 'in hand'!
