| Awesome display from the boys with Kes being on fire today. He was about to score his 6th but stopped running to a stand still right in front of the try line my only thoughts were he'd thought he'd obstructed Barrow via crossing but the ref didn't call it as & Kes was subsequently tackled & knocked on. Riddy worked his socks off along with Spenner & Emmit. Beswick was brilliant & put a 80 minute stint in as Kay played on the wing half way through the 1st half all the way to the end as Brown was pulled off the pitch for having a nightmare of a game. To think we've got the likes of Penky, Gov, Aspinwall, Ostick, Thornley, Pownall all waiting to get in the starting 17 is awesome. We are going to stick 70-80 on someone soon with the strength & ability of this team watch out the Leythers are coming

| Don't forget Sam Barlow Geezer. I thought he was excellent today. I can't help but thinking that if it wasn't for Ryan's brilliance we would have struggled today. I bet Barrow were guttewd that that wind dropped a bit in the second half. I felt sorry for Alex Brown and the idiots shouting for him to be taken off will do him no favours. Oh and AJ was excellent again today.

| Todays game was good in parts , Ryan Brierley scored 5 cracking tries , his speed was far to much for Barrow , and our Forwards were again immense , well done to all of them .The only minus point was Alex Brown , somebody must get him on the tackle bags , his defence is very poor .Both Barrow tries came from kicks , so they didn't penetrate out line with ball play , which was good , Higson cover tackle at the end was superb , this lad can certainly motor , keep it up Adam .Star of the show Brierley , take a bow young Ryan .

| Bloody forgot Barlow he was a beast today that lad takes some stopping & has a good off load like big dog Duffy. We know what to expect from Higson he'll always put a good shift in.

| Ian it wasn't just Alex. Tom Armstrong's and some others wasn't that much better in parts, and we keep leaving that side short all the time. Our Sliding defence isn't sliding instead they move towards the direction the ball is coming from leaving numbers unmarked out wide. What can a winger do when he has four players in front of him. The lads confidence has been shot today. Having said that sentimentality won't get us into SL and PR has to win games or face the sack, it's as simple as that. I am desperate for Jamie Acton to do a barnstorming run leaving wreckage all over the pitch. He is big enough. Jake Emitt got through a ton of work as did "Big Dog" Duffy when he was on. I really cannot wait for next sunday.

| Awesome performance from the forwards again. They really are piling in, both in attack and defence. Imagines the opposition seeing Spencer and Duffy go off, only to be replaced by Wilkes and Emmitt, and then Acton. Ouch!!
And young Ryan was superb - too quick for anything Barrow had. It's a shame he only scored five - a couple more may have seen him close to getting on the Kingstone Press Championship team of the week!

Tony , I agree about sentiment , no room for it whatsoever , I didn't hear anyone having a go at Brown , I didn't even see him get taken off ,as you say it wasn't just him , but hopefully players will see nobodys place is guaranteed in this squad .I to am looking forward to the next game , Ryan trieswere a treat today , Barlow , Emmitt , Spenner , and Duffs all had very good games , our forwards are bosses of the pitch no doubt .

| From a Barrow point of view I was very impressed with Leigh today, you completely dominated in every position from start to finish and made us look very ordinary indeed especially in the pack where we were completely out-muscled.
The performance by your scrum half Brierley was as good as I've seen from any player at this level for many years, he certainly has a blistering turn of pace and eye for a gap as his 5 tries demonstrated. Just glad we don't have to play teams as good as yours every week, if you keep that standard of play up every week I can't see any other team finishing ahead of you come the end of the season.

| This Leigh pack is awesome and there aren't any supelatives to do credit to Brierleys display today so I will just say he was unbelievably good.
When the weather gets better incredibly this team will get even better and' more ruthless.
Alex Brown was substituted because he was all at sea defensively but I am sure the coaching staff will sort that out sooner rather than later.
Well done lads.
I'd say about 250 plus Leythers there today.

| Not only were Ryan's tries great but his passing is first class. In the second half he flicked a ball out some 20 to 30 yards without hardly moving his arms. The lads got talent for sure. One player who has been missed off todays roll of honour is Bob Beswick. Never stops working Bob and his defence is awesome. Top man.

There's better to come from this lot. They're only just getting warmed up.

I did say on't t'other thread about Bob we're blessed to have him we really are. He never takes a backward step & IMO we can build a team around Bob & kes as our lynch pins. The guy's a machine he's just goes & goes & goes forget duracell when we've got Bob Beswick
