| First of all Sam Barlow has been a revelation at Leigh and credit must also go to young Rowley for getting the very best out of him. Easily the new signing of the season, despite Liam Kays superb performances.
When you look at the Leeds side you can see why Leeds would be interested in Sam. Rob Burrows would relish zipping through off one of his off loads.
As for the Leeds rumours young Rowley alluded to an alledged meeting between Leeds officials and one of our players in response to Brian MCDermotts criticism of our tactics.
I also agree with Charlie regarding Tom Armstrong. What a class act this young man is becoming. He really is developing in to a top top centre in the game. He can go far.
And finally with Steve mentioning the amount of money he has put in, when I add up how much money I have spent on this club since going off to work at the age of 15 right upto the match last night I bet I am not to far behind him.. He will be surprised. A frightening amount over many many years.
I would spend it all again tommorrow. I love the club. It has been there with me every step of my life. I talk about it everyday to everyone. I must bore a lot of people half to death he he.

| Thought last night Barlow had an excellent game. Have made some remarks about him historically regarding his antics, but purely based on his rugby would love him to stay, based on his other side I wouldn't. As for Tom Armstrong he would be the first player I would drop. Couldn't believe my eyes last night when he actually passed the ball!! He does some very good things, but is a very greedy and selfish player.

| Any how Steve that n0b as you call him will still be a Leigh player next year, maybe you can pass on your thoughts personally to Sam at the Workington game?

I really don't know where you watching the game from , Tom Armstrong for me has had a brilliant season , taken a lot of stick from very physical tackles , but has bounced back most games , he was immense against Leeds ,and has Tormented every side we have played this season .He has filled out his body frame very well ,makes the yards ,and to describe him as selfish and greedy , I don't agree , obviously you are entitled to your opinions and I respect your views , but don't agree .We have had some BIG successes this season on the playing front , Tom is one of them .
I think few will give negative criticism about Sam Barlow , I know I wont , there was a point last night when Sam stopped and appeared to be checking his Jaw after a high tackle , I commented he was probably counting his teeth .

| Tom Armstrong gready? How is this possible when our 2nd top try scorer is Liam Kay who plays outside Tom? Tom has been outstanding this year hence why he is in the kingstone press team of the week most weeks! I must watch a different game to these people.
Sam Barlow has also been outstanding

Tom does some good things and has played well, but for me he is one who I think has the potential to do more than he does for the team, instead of doing it for himself. Thought Sam Hopkins last night was outstanding and brutal in the tackle and I think the time in the reserves has helped spencer. Bottom line is great win, great season and excited about the future.

| So glad we now have a BoD's and management team who can spot a good player, bring that good player to the club and develop that player into the star he is today.
To call Sam a tool stinks of both short sightedness and negativity...............something that "some" of the previous board had in abundance.
Having said that Starburg is entitled to his opinion and is a well balanced poster.....He has a chip on BOTH shoulders

Would rather listen to "Shandy", than read your stupid posts about a great player, which, by your own admission, you've hardly seen play this year!

| It would be nice to win a playoff game given out record in recent times. The main ambition for the season has been done early. Interesting comments about "resting" some players. Think it will do the lads who get rested good to have the odd game off and freshen up, and also to introduce some of the rest of the squad to the first team. Squad depth will be more important than ever next season. The future is bright, it is red and white.

Doesn't mean it's Armstrong who gives him the ball. Take armstrongs first try last night. Set move we have done many times which Kay has scored of himself a number of times. He got the ball of McNally who copped a hit from it, he then gave it inside to Armstrong. Used that move many times. Armstrong does lots of very good things, but his distribution is poor. Take the try he bombed yesterday - granted it was pulled back for a forward pass anyway, he could have passed but didn't, then he didn't quite make it and knocked on. Made no difference because of the forward pass, but the point remains, he made a bad decision and should have passed. I can could count multiple times he does this every game. On the other side, he defends well, has an excellent step and is quick for a centre and he scores a lot.

Couldn't agree more, personally. Kay scores a lot from other players like McNally and makes a lot of opportunities for himself as well. Brown, on the other hand, at the start of the season tended to stay out wide more and suffered from some woeful passes given to him round his ankles and over his head, even from short range. Armstrong is a very good player who does lots of good things and probably wasn't a million miles off a MOTM performance last night. But personally my ideal would be somebody who draws defenders and creates space for (and feeds) a winger rather than trying to beat everybody himself. I think thats a role that long term Paul wants to achieve with wide-running backrowers in the Sid mould, which might free up the to be more involved as finishers and give us more scoring options, but at this moment in time in that creating/finishing scenario for me Armstrong is better suited to the finisher role than the creator.
