It isn't Stevo's rule, it's the one belonging to the laws of physics. Watching it back on the video and looking at the pitch markings, it maybe drifted half a yard forward, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was passed in a forward motion.

Baffles me, the forward pass law. To a simpleton like me, if the ball ends up in front of where it was passed from, it's gone forward. Or is there something more complicated, that I should be aware of?

As I said, even allowing for any sort of "momentum", it was a forward pass. I was in line with it, and the direction from the player passing the ball was forward.

Apart from the momentum rule, most refs miss a forward pass because they are the the simpletons.

I'd argue that if Leigh was so indisciplined week in week out that in a game like RL it would be impossible to go on a 24 game winning run......

If it was a a crash ball then I'd be inclined to agree, but I think the benefit of the doubt has to be given with a cut out pass such as today, thrown on the run on a breezy day.

The losses column still show 0 for Leigh despite all this so called indisciplined play and I do believe the opposition have suffered the same consequences from indiscipline when we have played them (and in some cases afterwards when video footage has been reviewed by the RFL).

Its Rugby League Ant...Not Netball..They come with a game plan they leave knowing the game plan didn't work.
