Best team lost today and we used a get out of jail card, great character to grab the win but we will need a plan for when the ref slows the game and allows them to encroach in the 10m

We were very shaky today especially in't 2nd half & IMO Keighley played better & deserved the win. I can't believe all the high shots Keighley the ref missed & them constantly being off sides a pish poor display by the pie eating ref today. I can see the Cougars causing a few upsets at home this season thank god Riddy took that penalty in't 1st half & AJ's brilliant finishing for his try's.

We just weren't at the races today. Maybe we thought it was going to be walkover? Bad tackling, no effective half backs and lack of discipline. Well played Keighley. You weren't cheated though. The ref was just bad for us.

Sounded tough today but a wins a win. How many leythers made the trip and what was the crowd?

Too many dropped balls too many bad passes too many missed tackles and the number of penalties given away on the 5th tackle was daft.

Yet we still won. Keighley forwards matched ours in the second half and both their half backs had a very good game.

Great following, we got there about half 1 and the fans I saw out numbered the Keighley by a long shot, inside the ground I'd say we took just over 40% of the attendance ( which I didn't hear announced). I reckon about 400 of us though, looked to be a few either side of where I was stood.

As Maurice says, the better team lost. The previous three games, everyone was on song, but today, too many couldn't seem to get going, in the face of a determined Keighley pack, and two excellent half backs - both ex Halifax ironically!

One thought about our alternative kit - just because we look like 'Fax, it doesn't mean we have to play like them!

We were stood on the touchline along with quite a few other Leigh fans and it was great to see so many behind the sticks, certainly 400 is a decent estimate.

Poor performance but to be brought down to earth with such a bang and still get the three points is encouraging in a way. Fair play to Keighley, they put up a hell of a performance and I suppose it's for such games that the bonus point was first invented.

We weren't too good today, but a wins a win! and on a more positive note it's great to see so many leythers there singing and supporting, packing out a stand and I can only see that away following increasing by the time we play fax away.

Rack up three good wins with the next three games being at home and I'd hope we'd take 5-600 to Halifax. Be good if we could make a push to take a good following there with plenty of time to save cash.

Agree with that, the board definitely push for more fans for the home games (understandably) but a big push for the Halifax awa game would be a great move, would definitely lift the players with 600 travelling fans, over a month until kick off and with Fax having a few alleged off field problems would be worth making a call to see if they could assist in helping get fans over there. I'm sure sponsoring/ contributing to a few coaches would be worthwhile for the extra ticket sales they'd receive, LISA could also start taking bookings for this one, maybe at a more discounted price than normal.

Lisa are looking at extra coaches already without sponsorship we cant knock prices down further it's was only 8 quid for members today which is excellent value !

A timely dose of reality - this season will be as tough as usual.
A timely last minute winner and to top it all nicely a timely last minute winner at Cas so all told a good day.

A big week required in training is now required.

Surprising thing was that Leigh were clearly the better side for 35 minutes and then error after error from our lads.

With your easy first few matches, I think your lads didn't have a plan b when they realised the Cougars weren't just going to roll over and die. Sure you'll get it sorted now you've had a tough game. And go and win at Halifax. So long as Leigh and Cougars have got Bradford on the fixture list next year!!

Agree about the mistakes - knock-ons etc, bad day at the office in that respect.

Penalties I wouldn't be too harsh, Keighley milked everything in the tackle and the ref listened. Only thing I'd say is that generally we don't seem to be quick enough to adapt to a game and a ref like we should when we see what we're being picked up on and what we're getting away with. If we know we're getting penalised for something, stop doing it! And like Cross Hills Cougar says - no plan B when things are going wrong. Hopefully as the team gels we'll be able to work on that.

But fair play to Keighley - March had them doing all the right things to break our play up, and they all put a massive effort in, kept in our faces and very nearly pulled it off - took a big effort from our lads in the last 10 to snatch it.

Too close for comfort but a great game of rugby.

Charlie thought the best team lost yesterday , no doubt the Cougars played very well , but we still should have won with comfort , I think we started to believe our own press reports , Higson scored 2 good tries from Ryan Bs passes and should have had 2 more , Ryan please look where you are passing to , Higgy is not 10ft tall

Still a wins a win , 3 points is all that matters , roll on Friday night , the travelling fans were good to see , lets hope we put this game behind us and kick on for the rest of the Season , good to Maurice mixing with ordinary fans .Frank B reported as unwell

If you need to move to a "Plan B" midway through a game you have a problem. I always believe that you should stick to your game plan and if you have done your homework during the week it will work. It's when clubs start panicking and looking for a (usually nonexistent) backup plan that things go wrong.
