And its right that you (LISA) do so you are the voice of the people that really matter. Same goes with the TDC lads two fantastic blokes Alan and Steve.
As ive said i will support whoever goes forward but it cant be a quick fix painting over cracks solution for me to fully commit and put money into as i dont do things by halves.

| Correct me if i am wrong but don't the TDC have enough business people in their club to form a new BOD when you look at the list of members their seems no shortage of big name company's to set up a new board
Agree a sum of money from each member say ..K over the next 3yr
Or like you say lets scrap the old shares have a new share issue open to the public their is no harm in feeling the water with this idea if we cant get enough people interested we cancel the share issue
But if we did get enough people willing to sighn up to the share issue they could then vote in a new BOD

One of the old recuring mistakes unfortunatley approaching the same people for more.
New people with new money that doesnt effect the money that already comes in is what is required.
When/ if something starts to happen the fans and everyone need to be ready and ready to get behind it in a big way.
Dont keep attacking the same income streams look for new ones.
Also you cant just scrap shares or force anyone to give them up unfortunatley.

When we overcome the current challenge it is vital we maximise every opportunity to draw cash into our club, fan ownership is an area I am very passionate about and making it accessible to the average fan is crucial IMO - inclusive not exclusive will allow our club to at last start the journey to be the best we can be

Neil
This is true but to overcome the lack of income and generate the sales requires long term thinking IMO.
Hap hazard Short term thinking often means we often find ourselves being reactive hence chasing the lost 300.
Long term is the key considered and deliberate approaches with planned growth is what we need.
Simply looking short term finding buisnessmen to bail us out or chasing same old people for cash is not the way.
Put a structure in place budget it correctly and build it year on year. Balls out chasing a SL pipe dream is proven not to be the way to succeed.

| Like any business goals will be short, medium and long term.
Income streams will be old and new, our opportunities are the new ones but we should never ignore the established ones.
Low hanging fruit is easy to pick, but that does not mean the top branch can never be reached for all the tree should be our goal.

100% agree spoken like a true sales professional.
I am a Critic of the low hanging fruit business model. Orchard workers routinely begin picking at the highest point of a tree, where the fruit has been exposed to the most sunlight and is usually the ripest. It makes sense to pick the low hanging fruit last, since it requires more time to ripen, it also makes sense to avoid focussing on the easiest options if a little more effort and time would result in a much better payoff IMO.

That is completely correct.
Apple target the most profitable section of customers first, with market saturation a secondary concern. They make most of the profits in all the industry areas where they seriously compete. We need to take that approach, without undermining what we already have.

| What we must do is understand our value in the local economy, create our proposition and SELL it to a target market. A realisation that we are not a global brand synonymous with innovation and a marketing budget to match will allow us to get the best returns for a limited resource, creating a platform, foundations, to grow from.
Mutual benefits from partnerships is what we have to sell until Sheikh Mahmoon El Mosham flys into Westleyth International

| All sounds interesting but lets see what you can do to attract us oranges or apples from the bottom of the tree, loss track of which fruit I was?
You mention us missing fans, well for a start scrap the twining with wigan, next the crowds have dropped over the last two years with massive hikes in season ticket prices[its same or in some cases £2 more to watch local super league clubs couple with the stupid dual regs, people like me got fed up of seeing if smug face smith would release a player for us that week or was he the waterboy for them
Senisble entrance fee,no twining scrap, the duals if that gets reinvented and develop our own youth how hard can that be? after all were in a league were the glass ceiling is reinforced and the best you can do is press your nose against the glass and hope you get let in!
So I'll get back in my fruit bowl and await to be picked

When sitting in said bowl it is fair to say the fruit has been picked, the fact you didn't realise the tree no longer nurtured you is concern indeed.

Im predominantly going off what i read on here.
But it is obvious that Some serious straight talking and some very blunt questions needed to be asked of certain persons who "were" in senior positions, it is all well and good praising people for doing a holding job and if what i witnessed personally the type of sycophantic behaviour that went on in front of my own eyes then i feel for the club and fans as a whole and it is time "you as fans" started to really make your feelings known to who ever is left.
This club seems to be very much the fabric of the community however the people currently doing the weaving aren't all following the same nap of the cloth

And to do this you will need someone in Charge who is capable of driving the staff, the staff who know what they are doing and are the right people for the job with the necessary skills.
There is a lot to be said for the way Wigan have modeled there business and Mr Leneghan has employed the right people for the job irrespective of whether he likes them or not, they have a job to do and if you fail your gone, the club itself has to strive to become as self sufficient as possible without relying on a generous benefactor(s)

Getting the 'right people' in the jobs must be the ideal.
Of course, to get the 'right people' in those jobs, we would have to generate a heck of a lot more income than we are currently doing. How many paid employees do you think are on the club payroll at the moment, excluding playing/coaching staff? As an example, our recently resigned CEO was doing the job for nothing. His predecessor was employed at nil cost to the club. They may have been the 'right people', or they may not have been. I wonder how much it would cost, to get the 'right person' in that role? And that's just one job, at the club.
