Seems a very good effort by both sets of fans to me.Anything over 6,000 will be a good effort by both Leigh and Salford.

I agree, very encouraging pre-match sales for such an early fixture in a competition where attendances have in recent seasons been very poor. Lets not forget the unusual kick-off time and day due to Sky television too.

Just out of interest what was the crowd against Bradford earlier in the season and also, how many did the Bulls bring over?

About 7 and half thousand for Bradford with 2,000 from Bradford. The North Stand makes a lot of noise to winning or losing

so should be a great atmosphere.

Unreserved seating reduces 90% of the permitted capacity of the stand. Regardless of when or where they pay.

It doesn't work that way, the unused seats are why it's unreserved seating, allowing larger groups to sit together if they are in early enough

Say just for argument that Leigh defeat Salford on Saturday & are then drawn at home to Wigan (a dream come true), would the the Club then continue with unreserved seating &/or could they switch to 'all ticket' ? If so would there be any benefit in doing this ?

I think I am correct in saying that the LSV capacity is 12,500 approx, if 10% of the capacity is held back, then 1250 would have to be walk up ticket sales.


For the Bradford match there was a lot of "Sold Out" talk about both the North Stand & West Stand, yet I stood in the North Stand & could see plenty of room in both stands & when watching back on LCTV. How does 'unreserved seating' affect the North stand ? Is 10% held back for 'walk up' tickets for the North Stand also.

The attendance of 7,500 was still fantastic IMO & I hope for similar on Saturday.

My understanding is its got nothing to do with walk up sales, to have a complete full to capacity stadium it has to have reserved seating ie tickets have to have a seat number on them and that's where you sit, un-reserved seating means you can sit where you like within the stand you have a ticket for, and because this will create possible movement within the stand it has reduced capacity by 10%, but this could still be classified as a sell out even though there will be empty seats due to its reduction. So in theory LSV could be a sell out even with over a 1000 empty seats.

I doubt the North stand would be reduced as you can stand anywhere any way................

Wouldn't know, never sat down at LSV..Never seen the North Stand full either due to charlie caroli's training in carrying 3 on your shoulders should the need come about..
