Very true B&B..So both hypothetical assumptions are equally as incorrect as they are correct. What could have been is past tense, what is,is, what will be,no one knows.
Being Wakey would have had to score 135 points in the Hull/Hudds games inclusively to reach peak spot,is a margin that would have never have been fulfilled.

| Quote: Harold Rigby Jnr "I am inclined to agree 100%, we are missing a creative spark. For all of Ben Reynold's early promise, I do feel he has gone a little stale. I won't quite say he is at risk of burn out but I do feel a little rest will do him a world of good. However I am not paid to coach, Jukes is.'"
Do you think we will see Hampshire at SH for a full 80 this season? How far is Drinky off?

Purely speculative,he must be injured or its a totally daft call given we have FC on Monday.Which personally for me is more of a winning chance than Salford.

You could be right about the injury but I also have a niggling feeling at the back of my mind that you could also be right about it being a totally bad call. He just seems to be panicking and not allowing the team to settle. Granted, the first half last week was poor but the second was something to work on.

| Jukes has enough backroom staff and experience to pick what they feel is their strongest team each week. Each game is tactically different ever week so requires little tweaks here and there . We have a depleted squad so theres not much he can do really at the moment.

Funny isn't it , we never hear that mentioned in the media , last night it was pointed out that Widnes had used 27 players so far , I'd be interested to know how many we've used
Also puts into perspective our much mentioned 2005 campaign , when we used due to injuries 38 players

That's fine on a weekly basis but with 2 games in 4 days any opportunity of rotation should be used. We can't use Naughton on Monday.

Adam Higson will return because he is the better and more experienced than Naughton! That would seem obvious to me ?
On his day, Higson is as good as most Super league wingers and indeed he has been very good for us !

He does have a worrying tendency to drift inside when Leigh are defending and Salford look good out wide on both flanks.
Still, come on Leythe!

| Field kicking could prove decisive today, in this weather. High in the sky (fullbacks nightmare) or line Grubbers they are must's today! I hope we have got this sorted and, the right people are executing them?
If Mr Rigby Jnr is correct and Reynolds plays scrum half today, I hope he proves me wrong, has a blinder and, picks up M.O.M.
I hope we have a plan to stifle Dobson today? he would seem to be their main architect on the attacking front?
Plenty short kicks in behind their defence will do for me, lets see what brings!
We have a poor record at Salford, I can remember Murph's team beating the 'quality street gang' at the Willows however, cant just remember any others?

| 1983 was the last time we beat Salford at Salford in the top flight. Not a happy hunting ground. 1988 was the last time we beat Hull FC. Hope we break one of these records this weekend.

Your right, he does sometimes drift inside however, when he connects with an opponents, they sometimes drift out too
Mitch Brown also drifts in and we get caught out, he has done this a lot this season! I hope Mitch has been on the tackle bag this week, some of his tackling was below standard last week! Keep with the defence line Mitch, if you tackle your opponent facing you who has the ball, he cant score!
There is only one player on the field who can score, that's him with ball! Don't take dummies, ( they are for baby's) tackle the ball carrier, what could be easier than that!

Very true. In fact seem to recall one such incident against Salford last time out (albeit so marginal that we needed the soon to be canonised video ref to spot the stray boot string)

| Once again we hear all the Coaches moaning about the 'hectic' Easter period ! I remember seeing Leigh play three games in four days in 1958! I know the game has changed and it is much faster however, the players in 1958 were only Semi -Pro! having other occupations, must have been really exhausting? I'll bet Tony Smith is tired just reading that
The games that Easter, were Blackpool at home, we won easily, the following Widnes away next day, we lost a close game and, two days later Wire at home which was the best game of the three and we won!
Today, people would not be able to afford to attend so many games in a short space of time, possibly costing £75 at todays prices!
In 1958 I was on schoolboy prices today, I'm on a Freebie so, 59 years later I'm attending the match cheaper

There's two wing spots and Naughton should've been used on one of them against Salford, either side. Especially with Hull coming up on Monday. I also think he did ok against Catalan, where let's be honest, nobody covered themselves in glory. Ridiculous decision by Jukes.
