I've no gripe with Jamie ending up where he probably belongs - in Sooper Dooper League. My gripe is with a system that openly allows players to be approached about next season, when we are only half way through this one. I hasten to add that I'm not just being parochial about this - it's happening throughout RL, not just with our players/coach. (although I have to say that we rarely hear anything about who we are talking to, at this stage of the season - apart from the annual 'Penky' stories, that is! )

| You can't stop that Alan. Has as much chance as has Ryan Giggs of trying to keep things secret.

I'm not so sure. Let's put it this way, Richard Agar has not been to our last couple of home games because he is a closet Leyther !!
Jamie Ellis has proven he deserves to be playing at a higher level than he is currently...

You're gonna get in trouble with that one. His lawers are tracking you down as we speak with a "super-injunction" on every twitter account in Salford.

| I think Jamie has not only got first team game time but has benefitted from this club with the coaching and fitness regime. He had a bit of timber when he first came but has got the body into an SL one now. I would love him to stay but if he fancies himself in the big league then go get um lad. I don't think anyone can say he didn't pull on the Leigh shirt and went through then motions. Jamie has been instrumental in our league and NRC position and showed it again today justly getting the MOM.

| Agar has been to our last couple of games because he appreciates watching good RL. Shame a lot of our districts' public would rather spend 2 hours in the pub when they would actually have a cheaper healthier and a more enjoyable time watching ALL of this side.

With is off the field problems last year, this was always going to be a do or die season for Jamie. He has used his time with Leigh to turn his life around. Good luck to him, if he can stay on the straight and narrow he will turn into a top pro in Super League.

..... and I'll be standing in the Hilton Park stand, yes that's right I've named the North Stand myself: |
|
| Seems to me Hill has been leaving every season since he started playing regularly for the first team and he's still here.
I'll believe it when I see it announced properly, still think he's more likely to go to Warrington what with Millward's relationship with Tony Smith. As for Jamie Ellis I think he'll want something more local, perhaps Salford or Widnes?

Grand Final apearance, or NL Cup Final Win, average attendance of 2500 in a season, stadium that meets SL minimum standard, meet the financial criteria for one season and have a SL quality youth structure. Oh and make £500,000 clear profit in a season despite all the salary cap restrictions of NL 1 (or that might just be an added bonus that Widnes were able to fulfil, with their multi-millionaire backer).

Turnover and profit was easy to achieve if you have a backer with a pile of money which they can place in a 'Charitable Trust'
