| Quote: GUBRATS "The thing is , that now Dereck has taken it on his shoulders the players can now forget it and just get on with playing , rather than frustration getting the better of them as displayed yesterday
No doubt our next few matches will come under more scrutiny , is that a bad thing ?'"
As I said, I'm not sure. Hopefully it has that effect.

| Well done Derek,
fully agree and back what he says, totally fed up with the standards of some referees.
It's a big problem that Ganson doesn't seem to be able to sort out.

| Quote: kiwileyther "That was the worst refereeing display I have seen, and im not surprised Dereks had enough of them. Hicks should have over ruled the Pelisier decision, as it was clear Maria was pulled forward, but god only knows why he over ruled the other involving Ben Reynolds. Those are big decisions that change a game. Im not saying we would have won the game, but we would have been closer.'"
Pelisier used Maria as a shield and pushed into him, that was obstruction. The fact that Maria was pulled out of the way is irrelevant, Pelisier should have gone round him.
Derek's 'speech' has done nobody any favours, if he did it to deflect criticism of the coaching staff and players then it worked. The referee made a couple of mistakes but Leigh were poor, we were overwhelmed down the right flank but it wasn't actioned, we kicked to Hardaker at every opportunity and our half backs generally weren't good enough. Defence wasn't bad overall but attack was lacking ideas.

| Quote: Alan "I've always been of the opinion that comments like that are not for the public domain. But I too am getting thoroughly fed up of the performance of 'certain referees'. I know they have a difficult job to do, but some seem to manage a lot better than others. And, for me, yesterday's ref has been, and will always be one of the 'others'! We saw a lot of him in the Championship, and I didn't like what I saw then - when we were winning all our games. I'm afraid that what was said, needed saying!
Let's get one thing clear. We were never going to beat Cas - they are a class apart, and played rugby that was wonderful to watch. However, before the game, I said that the guy with the whistle wouldn't let us play and, in the main, he didn't. I know the players are supposed to be professionals, and shouldn't let the ref get to them, but when virtually every 50/50 call goes against you, just how do you keep your discipline?
Yesterday, I went to watch and enjoy a closely contested game, and appreciate our 'classy' opponents. That was totally ruined, for me, by the incompetence and inconsistency of the guy who was supposed to be in charge. He succeeded in ruining the 'contest' by doing his bit to ensure a one-sided affair.
Well played Cas - you are indeed classy - but please keep away from Leigh Centurions, Mr Kendall. We have seen far too much of you this season!
Alan you are one hundred percent correct

| Quote: Greg Florimos Boots "The problem with outbursts like this is that it has come after a game where any neutral watching will tell you the ref had a pretty decent game. He made mistakes for both sides a good example was in the lead up to one of Cas's tries when he waved play on then sent it upstairs as a no try. Its little stuff like that but overall any fair minded person watching that will know it was pretty even ref wise.
I think it more shows a man on edge who is losing his cool now he is playing with the big boys and is struggling to take the club where he wants them to be.'"
The trouble is Greg, you watched it on telly and was influenced by TV commentators and you know, they don't always comment on the offsides and forward passess! 'Ref' Kendall is appalling, we are not criticising him just on yesterdays performanmce and the loss, he is appalling every time we have had the misfortune to have Ref us! We had many wins in the Championship with him in charge so, its not just sour grapes

| Quote: GUBRATS "In isolation perhaps you are right , although it seems to be a recurring theme that the SKY pundits, commentators and indeed the ' tame ' ex ref are being dumbfounded by decisions against us , the Wakey away game being another
So expand that to several other games during our recent run and you can see the frustration , last Sunday at Newcastle Robert Lui did exactly what Ben Reynolds did yesterday but the decision was given the opposite way , costing us a try
From Derecks and our point of view it has reached the point where we have nothing to lose ( apart from a few grand for him ) , we don't expect to be allowed a fair crack anymore , especially against ' perceived ' superior teams , with Leeds and Wigan up next we'll just have to see
All the best GFB'"
Well I for one was under the impression you are where you are in the table because of poor performances, plus injuries and poor indiscipline, ageing players panic buys not to mention a coach who is either out of his depth or too frightened to tell degsy to keep his nose out of team affairs, but apparently it's none of those but simply poor refereeing and victimisation from them and the RFL, who'd have thought it

Our Stand Off wasn't good enough He was totally anonymous and never looked to get on the ball he was nothing more than an observer If Paul Cook is in charge of the attack, its a good job he wasn't at the Normandy Landings!! Ben Reynolds is not the player to lead or provide challenging play against Super League sides! Is Martyn Ridyard? is Ryan Hampshire? I'm not sure however IMO they are both better options than Reynolds! (For our friends in the North Stand, Martyn and Ryan were both sat in the stand watching yesterday!) We may not have beaten Cas had either of them played and, I'm not suggesting we would however, we would have challenged Cas more, of that I'm sure!
Other notable players in the Stand were, our entire front row, Hock, Higham and Weston plus loose forward Hansen, it was a pretty good line up too, they were complimented by, Higson,Ridyard,Hampshire and Tonga with, James Clare bringing up the rear on Radio Manchester Commentary! That's a pretty good stand to have, perhaps only Wigan can beat that!!

| Refs get things wrong in every game" End of"
I for one think Leigh have done better than a lot thought they would but outbursts like this do the club no favours and the booing of an injured player certainly isn't what is expected in rugby league.
You had a bad reputation of bullying teams in the championship but that dosnt work in super league so the excuses begin.
As for Mkmeeken yes I think it should have been a sin bin to be fair but if you are going to pick up on every single thing what about when Benny Roberts was grabbed around the neck !!!!
Or is this ok because it was your team doing it

| As a player especially, it must drain every ounce of positive energy when not only are you facing a team riding high on confidence, but you're also playing the ref. It's self-evident that The RFL want Hull KR back in SL as fast as possible as a replacement for Leigh. Many events in history suggest everything is done to prevent Leigh and other non-elite clubs getting into SL. It was only through large investment that it was possible last year for Leigh. If the RL had a brain they'd increase the SL to 14 teams ASAP, but that's for another day.
Keep speaking out Derek please as the game will continue to decline if you and Marwan stop, and ultimately when the fans get a win/lose deal, they quickly get fed up and stop paying with their hard earned cash. I believe Derek is right in that RL is simple and that's why the fans love it - the speed, the fluency - add your own superlatives here. But when the refs get in the way, the entertainment deteriorates rapidly, with financial repercussions!
On a positive, to concede only 10 points in the second half - and for a period with 12 players - was a superb effort.
Chin up and cheer up! Enjoy your week.

| I’m sure there are better ways of raising a grievance with regards to Referees than what appears to be spitting ones dummy out in public.
I didn’t really think yesterday was ‘that bad’ in terms of refereeing, at various times decisions go for and against you, and although I love the screen (and still think ours is under used) sometimes the screen doesn’t help.
We were beaten well yesterday by a very good team who are good to watch, pity some of our players where doing just that, at times we were like rabbits in the headlights. The coaches and the players need to get it sorted, we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves, we are no longer cock of the school we’re playing the big boys now, we can and must do better.
