| I realise that the system was very different then with recruitment virtually impossible till after the GF. Wasn't having a pop Ste. Was just pointing out that IMO Kevin Penny is not a player we should be signing on the grounds that I don't rate him  |

Agreed, Penny is a useless wet lettuce & shouldn't be anywhere near this squad unless our ambition is Championship RL in 2018.

I thought Ashton went to RU for more money??
Either way he was playing well for Wigan before the move and I think would still be a good signing. I would guess he's had less collisions than an RL winger/centre so should be fresher for his age
