In fact our kicking game was poor, you successfully put pressure on Finn and Kain and our kicking suffered.

Your kicking was great, those bombs that Riddy kept putting up really had us in trouble.

We asked nothing for 50 mins then brought penky on ran at them, got in their faces and rattled them, 30-4 became 34-26 and it was game on
It could have gone either way at the end and with a couple of changes in position and tactics we can win the return should we get there

Maybe someone from Fev can answer this, because the ref gave "time off" quite a few times today, yet the stadium clock NEVER stopped, and at the end of both halves, the hooter sounded when the clock hit zero!

If that is allowed to continue, it'll become a big issue in future closer games....

To be fair, I did notice the clock "click back" after play had resumed. It was as if they timed the delay and adjusted the clock.

The clock isn't connected to the time keeper's clock. It adjusts once play resumes.

You are quite right the clock doesn't stop but when the ref puts time back on it jumps back to the time when it was stopped by him. Hope that clears it up for you

That's exactly what happens. The ref stops the clock but the stadium clock keeps counting and is reset back to the time of stoppage once the ref waves play back on

The ref didn't give time off for two injuries as I said in an earlier in this thread

Fev were the best team in the first half by a country mile.

Second half Leigh showed had they done that first half we can beat anyone home or away.

Fev will be more worried than us though because even though Leigh took more than when we beat them in the NRC( our support was about 25% better).

There was far more there for the Sheffield game than today, the stands and terracing were significantly busier. Playoff crowds are traditionally smaller than league attendances, look at the attendance figures in Super league and the Championship for playoffs over the years. Some people obviously don't like the system or don't want to pay extra on top of their season ticket. Its the complete opposite in football.

I have a pic of the stand today. There was nowhere near as many in there as there was for the sheff game. Even fewer behind the posts and main stand.

TBH I thought 2K was about right.

As you were in the stand and i was sat opposite i can tell you with 100% certainty how many you brought, wasnt 7/800 that you normally say, the section of seats you were in was as near as damd it full and the section has 400 seats, great following, and if im right if Dewsbury beat Sheffield we will play them so could still meet Leigh in the final when once again we will out drink you in your own town

I guessed about 1,800 so no quibbles about that. PO Road End usually seems far busier than that when we've been at the other end.

We showed what we're capable of in the second half but had left ourselves with far too much to do after that first half. We need to be a lot smarter around the ruck and give the ball a bit more air rather than trying to pummel our way through the defence.

Crowd looked spot on to me, i'd say about 400 vocal leythers there. First half fev looked on a different planet to us but the second half I thought we were fantastic and could of won the game with a bit of luck, but no doubt the best team on the day won. Lets hope we can beat batley now, if we do you never know.
