Why can it not be 8 on Saturday like it is on Friday? You could go straight to Peppers or the Casino straight after, or even Penny Ln. Seriously though an 8pm kick off on a Saturday is better that a 6pm one. Is'nt it?

8pm would be fine for me but I'm thinking of people with kids. An 8 pm kick off is too late for young kids - and they're the one's we're trying to attract isn't it?

I know we aren't supposed to rely on visiting fans, but 8 p.m. isn't going to sound too attractive to them, especially if they have a fair distance to travel.

Your right Mish and Alan. What about 7pm then. I just think that even at 6pm people who have worked on Saturdays and have kids still don't have time to get everyone fed, watered and washed, and get to the game. Rushing round after work may also put people off attending

Why not a happy medium then and make it 7.30pm I could make it then, but still prefer Sundays.

Hopefully that's the last ever Sunday we play. Dismall crowd, poor atmosphere. You can't compete with premier league games on tv on Sunday afternoons and early Saturday evenings. There is a reason SL clubs play on Friday nights! The coach wants the change the players want the change, the corporates want the change. Saturday nights in the summer you are competing with nights out, the bbq party lovers and 80% of the season the 5:30 premier league game. Sundays your competing with the family time, the second lot of bbq partiers and 2 premier league games. lets stop pandering to the I don't like change brigade and start engaging with the under 25's who don't have other attractions on a Friday night. Lets move quick before we lose another generation.

Rowley has gone on record suggesting he prefers Sundays to be free (or weekends) but quite can't remember where but hey Charlie knows doesn't he.

Won't disagree on that but after going Sundays and preferring this personally for far too many years to admit I feel it could be time to trial Friday evenings and this at this moment in my life would be my preference. We have to try this though in late spring/early summer when hopefully it's not too cold.

It was bitter in more ways than one today

I think we have tried most permutations for Game times and Days , Friday nights , Saturdays at around 6.00pm playing Toulouse , and old Faithful Sunday afternoons , I don't think it made much difference to the Attendance figures though .Im sure Andy Mazey and the other BOM , will listen to any ideas to improve attendances .

A big football game has far more of a negative effect on our crowd than a big Super League game IMO.

Didn't we have a vote a few years back and most people wanted Sunday afternoons. I don't mind when we play as long as we're told before people buy season tickets. I remember a couple of seasons back we were told we'd be playing Sundays then when the fixtures came out most games were Friday nights.

Matt we have had 2 Friday games this season at the LSV , against Sheff we had 1580 on and against Swinton we had 1170 on so it doesn't matter what day its played on , although the Sat evening game against Fev was our biggest gate this season .

Fev was 1pm on a Saturday but making that our regular time would be suicide! All figures need context.
