I would hate having to sit in west stand there's no atmosphere & no mingling going on there but for the sake of our club I would be prepared to do that if there are big savings until we can afford the luxuary of 2 stands FOR OUR CLUB'S SAKE!

Im quite sure the amount of stewards is in relation to the amount of people attending i would imagine the cost savings would be minimal at best to close the north stand, we need to give people options like it or not by making fans sit down and not behind the sticks will stop them from attending and will negate any cost savings made by not opening the stand. Remember the only reason we have terracing is because the fans asked for it!!! LSV was designed as an allseater at first!!!

Defo need the North stand open.

Usually sit in the West stand with my kids except for the last sheffield match, and just happened to stand next to a Leigh fan where his vocabulary extended to one normal word followed by F***, then one normal word followed by F*** etc etc, so defo some segregation in terms of families and fanatics.

I Leigh only get charged 10% of gate reciepts how would this help at all?

Stewarding is on top of this but still think people not attending because they cant stand behind the sticks would far outway any stewarding cost savings imo

What do all these people do when they want to go and watch a professional football game?

Believe me, I hate watching the game sitting down and I would much rather stand up (much to the amazement of my Canadian wife!) but would it stop me supporting the team I love? Never!

I prefer to stand up and would also not be keen to sit down but if the club turned round and said by doing it next season would save them a significant amount of money it surely has to be looked at. Another plus point (for the club but not our pockets) is everyone would be paying £16 instead of a split of £16 and £14.

I think those prices will be going up anyway.

We need to open 3 stands , not 1

If we concentrate on ' contraction ' , then that is what will happen , both to our fan base , and the income they generate , we need to expand both , and that might well include opening another ( well part of it ) stand

iv sat in the west stand with the wife and i must say that she was wright there is no chanting or singing or any atmosphere at all.the only thing we heard was people moaning about this and that,its time we all got behind the team who ever we have playing for us,so come on leythers.oh leigh ........ oh leigh oh leigh oh leigh

I love the West Stand more than I loved the Tommy Sale stand. I love it because the people in the North Stand are in the North Stand.

It has to be North Stand open for me, like has been said all the lads stand together and make the atmosphere, if we all got split up in the west all that would go, and for me personally the enjoyment of the occasion as well.
