So the new owner/owners/chairman have told you all this have they. The only thing they can have told you mind is the investment in young players as Ellis and Hill moves have been rumoured for a bit. Rickey I wouldn't be surprised, and Robbie retiring doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to work out.
So you obviously know who is taking over too.

| Ellis is a class player fair play he signed for us on a one yr contract ( stains are regretting letting him go with the current situation ) but he has put himself in the shop window and a few SL coaches rate him highly ..good luck to him i say ..would love to see him here at leyth but tbh he is a class above anything in this league .. ideal replacement for long at hull ..good luck to the lad ..he done a good job for us and will give us 100% till the end of the season ,,,,hope he leaves us with some medals in his locker first though

| Did anyone remotely think we would keep Ellis for longer than 12 months?? Good luck to the lad he's been outstanding for us and will continue to be until the seasons over.
Hopefully take over complete this week all is still good in Leyther land!!

| Me too but I doubt he will go to Hull.
Lets be positive and the RFL realise we have to go back to what practically fans of all clubs want.
Well maybe too late this season but they will see sense soon I hope' then teams like ours will get what this team's fans and no doubt fans of other aspirational clubs deserve.
There is no incentive now to keep a great side when you are stuck for 3 seasons going nowhere apart from 1 season in 3.
Still footie season over and last season a similar fixture in May we would have got about 1600.
What a privelige to watch this team.

| Scott O'Brien went pretty well in his first game for the reserves and would make a good signing I think. A dynamic attacking halfback as we've seen over the last few years for Leigh Miners and Leigh East.

Is he on trial?

I've no gripe with Jamie ending up where he probably belongs - in Sooper Dooper League. My gripe is with a system that openly allows players to be approached about next season, when we are only half way through this one. I hasten to add that I'm not just being parochial about this - it's happening throughout RL, not just with our players/coach. (although I have to say that we rarely hear anything about who we are talking to, at this stage of the season - apart from the annual 'Penky' stories, that is! )

| You can't stop that Alan. Has as much chance as has Ryan Giggs of trying to keep things secret.

I'm not so sure. Let's put it this way, Richard Agar has not been to our last couple of home games because he is a closet Leyther !!
Jamie Ellis has proven he deserves to be playing at a higher level than he is currently...

You're gonna get in trouble with that one. His lawers are tracking you down as we speak with a "super-injunction" on every twitter account in Salford.

| I think Jamie has not only got first team game time but has benefitted from this club with the coaching and fitness regime. He had a bit of timber when he first came but has got the body into an SL one now. I would love him to stay but if he fancies himself in the big league then go get um lad. I don't think anyone can say he didn't pull on the Leigh shirt and went through then motions. Jamie has been instrumental in our league and NRC position and showed it again today justly getting the MOM.

| Agar has been to our last couple of games because he appreciates watching good RL. Shame a lot of our districts' public would rather spend 2 hours in the pub when they would actually have a cheaper healthier and a more enjoyable time watching ALL of this side.

With is off the field problems last year, this was always going to be a do or die season for Jamie. He has used his time with Leigh to turn his life around. Good luck to him, if he can stay on the straight and narrow he will turn into a top pro in Super League.
