| I doubt Toulouse will play twice over the easter weekend as the two open weekends they had off last year were major holidays in France.
In May they had the VE day weekend off and then they only played easter monday in Batley because in France when there is a holiday, everything closes. You can't do a thing. So it's unlikely that any games will be scheduled in Toulouse that weekend for championship teams.
The RFL as much as idiots as they are, would always schedule local derbies as best they can for Good Friday! So i think Toulouse will probably just play easter monday again and most likely in England!

| May not have been the Fax Chief Executive, but he had a Halifax blazer and club tie and had in his pocket the 'draft' fixtures for the Championship Clubs - all Clubs fixtures from Week One. I got a gander for just a minute and spotted the Toulouse v.Leigh game at Easter

Poor move from the RFL - if true - considering our game with Widnes has become the traditional good friday/maundy thursday game.

| Quote: leigh-ratii "I got a glimpse of the 'draft' Championship fixtures today in Halifax. No joke - I was at a lunch in Halifax and their Chief Executive had a copy of the draft fixtures. Leigh are scheduled to play in Toulouse on Good Friday -that's the worst possible time of the year, [sizeit will cost a fortune to travel to the South of France at Easter[/size. Rumour has it though that Leigh have asked Toulouse to swap the fixture - Leigh to play at home v. Toulouse on Good Friday with Leigh going to France later in the season. It makes sense. Leigh had the biggest following to France last season and [sizeit wouldnt cost much for the air travel for any French fans wanting to come to Leigh over Easter[/size - Good luck Leigh, hope your request to Toulouse is successful and that Leigh fans can go to Toulouse in big numbers without having to pay high air travel prices.'"
I don't dispute any of what you are saying here, but why would it cost us a fortune to travel to France, but wouldn't cost the French much to come here?? Putting all the prices up at holiday times is not just a British disease you know!!

| Point taken - but travelling to the South of France is something people might do at Easter whether there is a game or not. It is unlikely the frogs would leave their weather to spend Easter with us in Leyth.

| So yet again, a punishing schedule for the club. Travelling to and from France for Good Friday then playing again on the Monday. Nice one RFL. Toulouse should be made to spend easter here and play two away games Friday and Monday. Makes sense and saves the RFL money as they pay for all Toulouses travel

And then no doubt the following Thursday night game

| The difference in cost isn't anywhere as much as you'd think - 4 nights in the Ibis opposite the train station costs £238 between two people from Wednesday 31st March to Sunday 4th April; it was £216 when I checked a random date in June so not too bad. Main concern would be that the place is basically shut down over the weekend, though I'm sure the Melting Pot will still be open

Yeah but we have to travel there once a year, not every other weekend.

I here they don't bring any fans abroad as apart from the cost of flights , hotels etc its the shock of actually having to pay to get into a ground that stumps them
