Brierley is one of the biggest flops in Super League history........ his level is Championship..... may be in two years at 27 he might be a bit more mature to actually get a starting place in a Super League squad with Toronto!

Total lack of ambition, he is a poor excuse for a rugby player,he hasn't got a fight in him, if he was a footballer he would be playing in Spain now, that's where people go for a easy life, or Toronto

Say what you like about him - but we've never come close to replacing the lad's outstanding pace.

I've always liked Ryan and wish hin well, if at 25 I was offered the chance to play in Toronto and get paid for it ,I would snatch the hand off my Employers, good luck Ryan.

Ryans not a flop,the structured styles of the majority if not all SL clubs doesn't suit his game.It would be the same case if he'd have come back to Leigh as our style now would not suit him.

Ryans game is suited to playing off the cuff not structured,he'll be back in his comfort zone with Toronto and good luck to him.

So if as seems likely they progress to sl he will be of no use to them as they wont be able to play that sort of rugby there

As Leigh are living proof that off the cuff doesn't cut it in SL.I would say there will more than just players at risk come SL time if promotion to SL is ever gained that is.

Lets be honest, he made a bad choice going to Huddersfield. They don't play his style and were a struggling team when he joined them. I thought he should have either stopped where he was, with you guys, or joined a club that were playing with confidence at the time. It was always a big ask for him to go and debut in SL as a half in a struggling team midway through a season, it was almost as if he was being set up to fail. I used to read a lot of the things he did community wise etc.. in Leigh and thought he had something about him, but I have to admit I lost a bit of respect for him when he left Leigh after all of his 'I want to get to SL with Leigh talk'. As a lot of players have found out before when moving clubs, the grass isn't always greener. All that said, it's a short career and if he's maximising his earnings by going to Toronto then good luck to him. He seems to like being the 'big fish in a small pond' so it could suit him scoring a bucket load of tries against plumbers and electricians I suppose. Sorry for gatecrashing your board, just wanted to give my opinion.

Signing a player, who can not even get into the team currently below us in Super League is simply not the answer.

It is a pity really that being able 'to run a bit fast' is not the only attribute required to be a successful Rugby league player. Otherwise we could sign Tom Hanks and play him at 7 in a shirt with 'F.GUMP' on the back and after every game you can return to the posh part of Salford a very happy man.

Very good signing for Toronto, the home fans will love the imminent try-fest! To the guys who are concerned about Ryan's decisions, probably a better strategy to concentrate on your own. Ryan now has the experience of being a Super League player, which can only serve him well for the future - when inevitably Tornoto will enter Super League. If the funding continues, it appears to be a very exciting time for Toronto RL. And whether you admit it or not, Rowley's style of rugby was pretty good to watch and the majority of rugby league fan's pay to be entertained, period!

Loved Rowley's style of play. Great signing for Toronto. I'd go watching them if the 34X bus stopped there but I don't think it does.

Wish Ryan all the best. Always played his heart out for Leigh. He'll flourish under Rowley's coaching again.

Happily I am just 45 minutes away from Toronto's stadium although I used to be only 10 minutes drive away. Already have tickets for the first game against Oxford and would not be at all surprised to see Toronto score 100. Will be wearing my Leigh shirt of course!
