I have a view on these former Leythers we are being linked with Stuart Donlan didn't want to know Leigh during his glory years,neither did Tommy Martyn junior nor to a lesser extent Ricky Bibey, Stuart Littler has spent his entire career taking the p**s out of the Leigh team and the speccies. so why all of a sudden when they arrive at the end of their careers do they all want to be loved by us. I for one can manage without em. I will now sit back and await claims of "it's only a short career and they have to look after themselves to which I reply B*ll*cks

To be fair to Ricky he has played for us twice before and in both cases has moved on to Super League Clubs, I dont blame players for doing that but in some cases Donlan and Higham being but two its the way that they left the club that wrankled.

Option 1 – Play for a SL side, get paid 1000’s for doing something you enjoy no need for a second job, get a free Car, train during the day finishing about 2, play Friday nights, therefore rest of the evenings and weekend for yourself, chance of winning major medals and playing for England.

Option 2 – Play for you local team, get paid 100’s for doing something you enjoy plus we’ll try and find you another ‘proper’ job, train in the evenings after work, and Saturday morning, play on a Sunday, so no going out Friday or Saturday night, chance of winning a Championship 1 winners medal.

Why whats up with Littler? he will be a more than competant centre at Ch 1 he wont require a car or travelling expenses, good signing for Ch 1.

Dont make such a big deal out of it, Tim Hartley is 23 and playing for his home town team next year, Ricky Bibby is hardly passed is being a 1st choice prop in super league for the last two seasons. We can hardly say they are coming for the money!!

You wont get any experienced players in our division who aren't as you call it 'past it', do you realistically expect the likes of Scott Moore to play for Leigh next year?

Scott Moore even turned his back on Leigh Miners to play for Blackbrook so that he could play for Sts unlike A. J. Higson and Morty who were loyal to the Miners and Leigh if Moore signed for Leigh I would think twice about renewing my season ticket and my lifeline membership

Punish a lad for wanting to better himself, id love to see who you would sign. it seems any leigh lad who wants to do the best he can in his career signs then you would rip up your season ticket. dumb and ass come to mind

I don’t know the facts as to why Moore went to Blackbrook, I’ve never ask him, have you? The rumour I heard was it was at the request of Saints.

I don't see a problem with it. Donlan and Bibey have played for Leigh before and went on to obviously better themselves, Bibey playing in two challenge cup finals and Donlan one. Both still have lots to offer to the club playing wise but also helping the progress of our younger players, I have no doubt Donlan will help Morty's game improve as the months go by.

Neither of those two are at the end of their careers I would say, or coming for the money.

Hartley, although never played for Leigh is still pretty young, burst onto the scene at Salford and things went abit stale for the lad he is trying to rebuild his career. He has moved to Leigh for next season and I feel his move is one of a genuine nature. He is coaching a junior side at Leigh Miners Rangers so no doubt this move will possibly enable him more time with those lads too, which surely can't be a bad thing.

If we ever signed Littler, I know that would get peoples backs up as he has ripped us apart for many years and he and us fans havn't had the best relationship, but the lad is a quaility player and would certainly be an asset to our side if we signed him within the next 2 years I reckon. To talk of stopping coming to Leigh games just because you don't agree with a signing is very sad.

As someone said, it shouldn't matter where they have been before, where they come from if they ever pull on a Leigh shirt we should be there to support them and hope they put 100% in for us and do a good job. Just look at Nanyn i'd never thought i'd enjoy seeing him in a Leigh shirt but whoever they are, weather they played for Wigan, Saints, Widnes in the past if they come to Leigh to play for our club I will support them and wish them well. If they are Leythers then it's even better, I would love to see nothing more than a team full of Leythers picking up honours.

Players, coaches and officials come and go the only people who dont lose their 'way' are the true fan.

No matter who pulls on the shirt they should be SUPPORTED thats what supporters do.
