In 81/82 we also beat York at home 56-6. Now I liked the aggressive Kenny Green and he was a great servant for us but they're different generations. Joe Mellor has been fantastic all year.

Joe's got even better with young Lachlan at his side, without doubt we have a SL half back partnership now that quite simply we have never had in the summer era

Joe has an excellent rugby brain. With an extra yard of pace probably would have been international standard. Ken Green was one tough mon. For scrum halves AJM was in a class of his own.
