I don’t think it was a wise move from Derek Beaumont to publicly criticise the standard of referees. I can understand the pressure he’s under but from what I have witnessed from the past outspoken views of our owner it will only make things much worse for Leigh. DB would have been better served taking a few deep breaths, having a large glass of wine and airing his views through the right channels. The RFL don’t react very well to public criticism and if you kick one of them they all limp. I can understand a fine may be irrelevant to him but the payback will much more punishing. Expect a few more of your key players come the 8's to be cited for visits to Red Hall.

The best thing he could do is issue a public apology to the referee and the RFL saying his views were influenced by the pressure he’s under and having watched the game back on video his comments were harsh. I doubt he’ll even consider it for a second but I think it would be better for your clubs SL survival hopes if he did.

Derek needs to stick to running the club and stay of social media especially when he had a few shandys

Couple of points about posts above. The ref will is highly unlikely to get a public apology and whats any of this to do with social media. It was all said in a very public press conference and also in the aftermatch presentations later.

To be honest I didn't take much notice but if it was the same as Reynolds' then it should have had the same result.

heard snippets on talk sport radio today,one of the topics being the bad standard of referees in football and super league,so not just db who thinks its about time things improved.my own opinion is that there is no consistancy in the game from referees,to disciplinary,stadiums,kick off times.i hope his comments result in an improvement,but i doubt it.

Tigertroll, on a personal note.....is trolling the only orgasm you ever have ? What would world beaters Castleford's crowd be, after no home win for almost 3 months. When you fail to win yet another trophy (41 years ?) I will enjoy sending you a PM. I have no reason to dislike Castleford at all, but YOU have changed all that. You lot will eventually get some bad luck/decisions/injuries etc, and I can't wait.
p.s. Our owner is not thick, he has decided to criticize Referees/Officials after a 0-38 scoreline, when the officials had nothing to do with the result.
