Should Leigh try a new tactic this season and follow the likes of Leeds and Sheffield in not going all out to win the title race.
Leigh played well all last year only to loose out to a team that we beat home and away,Sheffield made sure that they finished in the play off's then thrashed Halifax us and then beat Featherstone in the final.
Leeds did the same and looked after the fitness of the team and came through strong.
All teams in the Championship have a limited squad,and possibly the key to winning trophy's is winning the war and not trying to win the battle.
No, lets try to win more than we lose and in the process (if able) play as much attractive RL as possible, we need to drum up our support by any means possible and playing winning RL helps.
Leeds and Sheffield I don't think planned how things worked out, its just that our league structures currently allows a club to be crowned as a champions despite being poor or not the most consistent / best team over the entire season !
felt guilty.... I am a Hartlepool fan, but don't understand the blues 'fans' obssession with the reds !
Watched the reds a few times in the 70's with my Dad, but guess I'm a blue now....a HARTLEPOOL one !
