Quote: TV BOY "How many people do you think work for Leigh Centurions full time and how many do you think get a decent working wage for their efforts? Why don't you ring the club and ask to speak to the BODs with your ideas? We have no money for promotional work. The club relies on the help of LISA and the other money raising agents to try and break even. Do you really think that the people who are working for nothing really want to do it and then read articles like this. I am dead against censorship and everyone is allowed their, view but unless you know of the people who you say are needed at the club or are prepared to fund promotional feats or even organise them for no money - like quite a few do - then your comments are worthless.'"
The number of people working for the club is totally irrelevant if the people above them don't provide any guidance or strategic direction. There is plenty of resource available via LISA, Touchdown Club etc if a plan is in place with specific people tasked to carry out specific measurable tasks.
The problem is we have a Board who don't have the time to make this happen and a chief exec who doesn't have the ability or inclination to do so. As such there is a total lack of cohesion, no genuine strategy or marketing of any aspect of the club, be it game day or otherwise.
