As a salford city council employee i am disgusted with the amount of money being poured into this club(salford). And at a time were many council employees face massive reductions in pay or worse unemployment. I have made my feelings known to the councillors and made my union know what is happening. I would not like any rugby club to go bust as it plays a major part in communities however it should not be at the expense of hard working people.

Do the LSV put hard cash into Leigh coffers (not coffey). Salford loans and back door cash and redirection of council monies from a charity are a completely different kettle of fish.

I think you;ll find that the LSV give us reduced rates etc,wiaver charges to help us, not actually give us any money, thats a big difference.

Being 'supported' and being 'propped up' are worlds apart.

If its a genuine partnership between the lsv and the centurions, and the club isn't running up debts it will never be able to repay, then its irrelavant whats happening here

Its not looking good for Salford just been listening about their problems on Radio Manchester GMR. Not sure what will happen but no matter it is another sad day for this great game.

I just wish the idiots who are running the game at RLF HQ will get their heads from up their fat backsides and let common sense prevail.

The clubs have to shoulder a huge amount of responsibility as well as the RFL. We've been as guilty as everyone else and are still learning from the experience. Really don't know what the solution is as there just seems to be so much going wrong in RL in recent times.

I suspect things will unravel very quickly at Salford now. Sad but with a winding up hearing due 1st week of Jan they will surely seek to protect what's left with administration. Now what will SL do? Its not the middle of the season so no real problem with fixtures if The Reds dropped out but where do they go.

They might chuck barra out of this league cos there lights are crap and put salford in here.
Just joking....If this particular salford club does disappear and a new one is reborn,it will have to be in champ 1,although that would depend on salford council allowing them to play for nothing at the new stadium.
