Lynda, I don’t know if he’s contacted you yet, but one of the people off our bus, has suggested everyone on the coaches (and anyone else for that matter) paying an additional pound, and this money being given to the players, it may not amount to the same as their bonus would (should they win) but at least it shows the fans gratitude.

That's a brilliant idea we usually collect for driver but we could do that too, ask for donations for the players going and coming back the drivers .

We could also send a bucket round at blackpool think we d get a fair bit, and maybe at home game to Sheffield week after!

Please don't take this as a negative post. I think in principle this is a great idea, but does giving the collected monies to the players not negate their gesture somewhat? Would it not be better in the circumstances to make the collection and give it to the fighting fund, making the point that the fans have replicated the players gesture and gone some way to matching their contribution.

Just a thought.

What if the fans had a 'whip round' via the LISA coaches etc, and the monies were put behind the bar at the club for them. Give the lads a drink as a gesture from the fans.
