A draw 28-28,was a very hot day,and very tiring for both sets of lads, well done, though our coach Peter Thomas ,felt we should have wrapped the game up,with the score 28-16,the Wire scored a very late try and kicked a great touchline effort to get the draw, we have a couple of very promising players,i liked our scrum-half,a winis not far away .
at this level it's not all about the result, its about progressing players, but our 4games so far have been against super league opposition, the performance's & results speak for themselves, to go to south wales & play crusaders what is the wales national team at this level & put in a performance & a win like they did, then to push saints all the way last week, then this weeks performance & with only 13 fit players ( 12 for the 2nd half ) progress being made. But just like 2years ago when we had players like Tommy Makinson ( now saints 18s/20s ) Grant Gore, Danny Crompton & Dave Carney ( now widnes 18s/20s ) Tommy Parkinson ( now wire 18s ) the same is now happening with these players, we progress them & other clubs come in & take them. Best of luck for last 2 games lads
