Miners got back to winning ways with a 38-18 victory over Wigan St Judes, miners opened the scoring early on when winger Mark Jones scoring out wide giving them an early 4-0 lead, Miners continued to apply the pressure and got there rewards with full back Chris Wakefield scoring along with centre Lee Gittins, Liam Coleman converting both giving the host a deserved 16-0 lead, St Judes got the visitors off the mark with centre Gavin Corfield going over from close range the try converted score 16-6. Simon Hartley finished the scoring in the first half for miners with a try outwide giving Leigh Miners a 20-6 half time advantage.
Miners added to there tally in the second half with a try from stand off Liam Coleman and two nice finishes from winger Simon Hartley gave him a hat trick on return from injury, giving miners a comfortable 32-6 lead. The last 20 minutes where scrappy from miners allowing Judes to score two converted tries, score 32-18. Darryl Kay scored the final try of the game, Coleman converting giving miners a 38-18 victory
