I take your point but this wasn't the issue. Leigh were fighting against the drop and Toulouse weren't. Look at how Salford are performing at the end of this year and Castleford last year. It is a totally different mindset.
Leigh have shown in the last couple of weeks that they could play. To go down with 32 points is hard to swallow. However, had Toulouse not faded when their season ended with a few games to go, Leigh would still have gone with 32. It's a real shame.
The real shame is a stupid bonus points system and relegating two clubs when the sides in the division below aren't strong enough at the moment.
